We sold Wacko after her two year old career. I wish I hadn’t as I think she could have had a nice Illinois three year old year. But unfortunately she passed away as a three year old from a bad case of colic. She was one of my favorites.

So Reserved is now retired. In November of 2015 I placed him at Racer Placers, a repurposing facility for race horses. He had a very good run with me and at 8 years old he deserved a new life as a pleasure horse for a loving family.

November 2015 Update: Well, I was wrong below. I thought I retired him, but he refused to give up and came back to race another year. In November I “re-retired” Kaydon. He is at Racer Placers being retrained for the life of a pleasure horse. It was a pleasure having him for the past five years. He ended his career at 187 starts – 23 wins -18 seconds and 19 thirds; earning $161,438 lifetime.
October 2015: We just retired Kaydon. He injured a tendon and at 9 years old I did not think it worthwhile, or fair to him, to bring him back to racing from that injury. He had a nice career for an overnight horse with a record of 168 starts -20 wins -18 Places -17 Shows and a total earnings of $156,390. Nine of his wins were for me and I will always remember the night he beat Fort Silky at Maywood in 1:52.2. I enjoyed being around him for the last three years as he is quite a character.
