  • Unhynged Noire

Unhynged Noire is the second living foal out of Excelerated Speed. He is her last foal and was weaned at 4-1/2 months when she died from colic.

Update: Tragedy seems to follow Excelerated Speed and Unhynged Noire. After losing Excelerated Speed last spring, her son Unhynged Noire passed on February 21, 2023 from an acute case of colic.  We are crushed by his passing.

  • Arclight Hanover

Arclight Hanover was purchased by our stable in January 2021 at the Meadowlands Winter Sale.  We have just recently retired him to New Vocations so he can live a happy life at a “forever home”.

  • Catherine’s Bella

Catherine’s Bella (Breeder’s name: Barbie in Red) is a new addition to our stable in 2020. Purchased at the 2020 Illini Classic sale as a yearling. She is the daughter of Cassis out of a mare named Ken And Barbie whose sire was Ken Warkenton.

Tragic events unfolded for Bella. In January 2021 she bowed a tendon jumping into a water bucket. We turned her out in Florida with the intention of bringing her back into training in November. Sadly, she succumbed to a case of Colic in May 2021 and passed. She had great potential and was an exceptional horse to interact with. She loved her work, was very competitive, and also affectionate to the people that cared for her.

  • Unhynged Speed

Illinois bred colt born at 4AM on May 5th, 2020. Sired by Revenge Shark out of my mare Excelerated Speed.

We raise and raced him through his 2 and 3 year old seasons.  We sold him on March 30, 2024 in a private sale.  Best wished to the new owners, and high hopes for a long and happy life for Speedy!

  • Shortie Joe

Shortie Joe was privately purchased in May of 2019. He was originally a $110,000 yearling purchase that did not live up to the high stakes expectations of the original purchaser.

We owned Shortie for about a year. He really grew on our hearts as he was a very loving animal. Unfortunately he faced a tragic end in May of 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic there were some ignorant people in the barn he was to be placed into. They demanded he not enter the barn for a week after shipping from Florida to Illinois. On the 6th night he had an accident and severed his tendons, the resulting injury also produced a tendon sheath infection. After three weeks of trying to save him we ended up at the University of Illinois clinic. They advised us that euthanasia was the only option for his injuries and he was euthanized on May 1, 2020. Despicable situation caused by idiots.

  • Batnac

Batnac was acquired by us as a two year old from a private purchase.  Having raced for the previous owner 4 times with a first, second third and fourth at The Meadows with a lifetime mark of 2:01.1 for a mile.

  • Giant Muscles

Giant Muscles is a trotting gelding added to our barn in October of 2017.

After well over three years racing for us we have retired Giant Muscles. We turned him over to Racer Placers in Wisconsing for transiton to a life after racing.

  • Hypervisor

Illinois bred trotter (CASSIS – THATS MY LINE – ILOOKLIKEMYMOM) foaled April 24,2014

Hypervisor did not make it as a racehorse after injuries as a baby.  He was retired to a Standardbred retirement/rehoming service where he was adopted by a family for a riding horse.

  • Excelerated Speed

    Updated July 5, 2023

We have owned, trained, raced, and bred this special mare since she was a three-year-old. We bought her in 2013 and she has been my favorite horse. May of 2023 was an exceedingly difficult time as she became extremely ill, very quickly with a severe case of fatal colic. She was euthanized after the diagnosis to alleviate the suffering she was experiencing.

She was a good racing mare that had a respectable lifetime mark, speed and earnings for an overnight horse. But what I appreciated the most was her grit, and will to win. It was the combination of these qualities that led me to believe she would be a foundational mare for my small breeding operation (Unhynged Stables). She was only able to produce two live foals for us. Unhynged Speed is now three at the time of this writing with three wins, a mark of 1:54.4, and a beaten clocking of 1:51.3. Her youngest foal was weaned at her death (4 months) and is named Unhynged Noire.

Over her lifetime she competed in 175 races; accumulating 26 wins and earning $131,325 in purses.  Winning for me 24 of those 26 wins.

Tragedy struck Excelerated Speed om May 24, 2023. She succumbed to a severe case of Colic. She was always my favorite horse, she will be dearly missed.
